School Information:
It is our pleasure to announce that one of our students at Kinard is a winner in the Colorado MunicipalLeague's 'If I Were Mayor…' essay contest! Congratulations to 8th Grader Kierra Vaughan! Over 350 essays were received, so this is a HUGE accomplishment! This means that Kierra and her family are invited to attend the Elected Officials Luncheon on Friday, June 22 in Breckenridge during CML’s Annual Conference. Kierra will be recognized by Lieutenant Governor Joe Garcia and will be invited to present her essay during the lunch. Fort Collins Mayor Weitkunat will also be attending the luncheon and is looking forward to meeting Kierra. Finally, she will also receive $500 to establish a college account through College Invest! Way to go Kierra!!!"
Hey Kinard, it’s Emma with your Wellness Announcement.
How many of you know that oranges have some competition when it comes to vitamin C? Kiwis are thought to have as much vitamin C as oranges. They are also so tasty! They would make a great snack; stock up on them today Kinard!
