8th Grade Science

Biography

Chris Bergmann is a science teacher at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School. He has been a Mustang for 5 years, but has been an educator for 6 years. Before coming to Kinard, Chris' professional experience started in the Jefferson County School District at Wheat Ridge High School where he taught physics to college bound juniors and seniors. Before entering the teaching profession, Chris earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Natural Sciences from Colorado State University. He is now back at school completing a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.

Outside of school, Chris enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife Angela have lived in Fort Collins for seven years. Chris is a Colorado native who grew up in the rural town of Craig, Colorado. He was raised in a family of educators. Both his mom and dad committed their careers to public education.

When Chris is not teaching or coaching sports at Kinard, he enjoys spending time outside in beautiful Colorado. He likes hiking, camping, fishing and traveling. He also enjoys playing sports, strumming his guitar, writing music, traveling, exploring new technologies, creating videos, spending time with his dogs, and helplessly hoping that the Chicago Cubs will some day find a way to win a World Series.

Chris is proud to be a Kinard Mustang and enjoys sparking creativity and passion in students. He hopes that his love of science and appreciation for the natural world inspires kids to reach their full potential.
