About Me

Mary Beth Fischer is the French teacher at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School. She has been a Mustang since the building opened, and has been an educator for over 30 years. Before coming to Kinard, Mary Beth taught in Wisconsin, first at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and then at Deforest High School. She then moved with her family to Minnesota where she taught middle school French in Mendota Heights and West Saint Paul. In 2005, her husband’s career brought them to Fort Collins where she began teaching at Preston and then Kinard Middle Schools. Mary Beth received her Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in French from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She studied in the south of France at the Université d’Aix en Provence and has traveled frequently to France and Québec. She has led student groups on trips to both locations. Outside of school, Mary Beth, enjoys spending time with her family. She has two sons, one living in Minnesota and the other living here in Colorado. She and her husband Greg enjoy hiking, skiing and snow-shoeing in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. She also loves to travel and to cook.
