Hi there! My name is Kaylin Zittergruen, and I teach 8th English and 8th Honors English at Kinard Middle School. The 2022-23 school year will be my first year at Kinard! I have previously taught at Wellington Middle School for the past four years, where I've taught 8th grade English, 6th grade English, AVID, and student council. Before that, I taught 7th grade English at Lesher IB World Middle School for a semester after student teaching.
I am originally from Ames, Iowa and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2017 with a major in English-Teaching and a minor in Educational Technology. I just finished my master's degree in Education and Human Resource Studies from Colorado State University along with my principal licensure.
I live in Timnath with my husband, Tom, who runs his own wedding/elopement photography business, as well as our cattle dog (she's a Kelpie) named Willow. In our free time, we enjoy hiking, camping, running, cycling, yoga, reading, and drinking coffee.
