Education and Professional Background:
My name is Emma Honn and this is my fourth year teaching here at Kinard Middle School as a 6th grade English Language Arts teacher. I attended Colorado State University and graduated May 2018 after finishing my student teaching at Webber Middle School. By attending CSU, I was given an incredible education that equipped me with not only research and studies, but a tangible experience in a classroom. I am eager to continue my career here at Kinard, and cannot imagine a better place to learn and grow as an educator!
Personal Interests and Hobbies:
I am originally from San Clemente, California and grew up always being by and in the ocean. Once moving out to Colorado for college, I developed a deeper sense of adventure. During the summer, I am a volunteer backpacking guide where we take high school and middle school students out into the wilderness for week long trips. When I am not frolicking in the backcountry, I enjoy reading. I create reading goals and try to challenge myself. In the winter, I love to snowboard, or stay inside with a hot cup of coffee and a book. Some fun facts about me: I love Trader Joes and could spend all day there; I also love Thai food. My interests and passions make up most of my personality and I am excited to share who I am with my students!
