Education and Professional Background:
My name is Marc Pravlik and I will be teaching 8th grade science and Global Leadership at Kinard Middle School. I grew up in Boulder, Colorado and joined the United States Marine Reserve after high school. After a year and a half of training, I was able to continue in the Marine reserves and get my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado. After working in the fitness industry, I went back to school and got a Master’s of Education degree from the University of Phoenix and began my teaching career. I taught 6th and 8th grade science at South Valley Middle School for the past 15 years and developed and taught an Outdoor education class for the past 3 years. I am so excited to be a part of Kinard Middle school and all the great things that happen here.
Personal Interests and Hobbies:
Like so many Coloradans, I love the outdoors. I enjoy biking, hiking, camping, fishing, and anything else that gets me outside. I am also very passionate about health and fitness and enjoy getting to the gym on a regular basis. I have a great family and enjoy hanging out with my kids, Nick and Brooke, and my wife, Monica, who teaches 3rd grade at O’dea Core Knowledge.
