About Me

Mandy Hergenreder is a 6th Grade Math Teacher at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School. She has been a Mustang for 6 years, but has been an educator for 10 years. This will also be Mandy’s fourth year sponsoring National Junior Honor Society.  Before coming to Kinard, Mandy worked as a middle and high school teacher in Greeley and Loveland, CO. Before teaching, Mandy grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska where some of her family still lives.   Mandy received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Secondary Education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. She has also earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in Portland, OR

Outside of school, Mandy enjoys spending time with  her family of 5, being outdoors, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.  She has three children ranging in ages from 4-15.  Emma, her youngest daughter at age 4 enjoys telling silly stories and being a dare-devil.  Khloe is 7, she enjoys riding her bike and is really excited about being a second grader.  Caleb is 15, he loves playing games on his computer and will be a sophomore in high school this year.

Mandy became a teacher because she loves working with kids.  She chose to teach math because she understands math can be scary and wants to show young people math can be interesting, relevant, and fun at the same time.  She encourages children to be risk takers and to not be afraid of making mistakes.
