Important Information:    

  • Good morning, everyone! Today is Constitution Day, a day when we celebrate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. The Constitution is an important document that protects our rights and explains how our government works. Take a moment today to appreciate the freedoms and responsibilities we share as Americans. Happy Constitution Day! 
  • Calling all Mustang Scientists! Science Olympiad has an optional parent information TONIGHT at 6:00 pm in the Kinard Media Center. Students who want to participate in Science Olympiad are also welcome to attend. Registration opens TODAY. You can get a form at the information meeting or in Ms. Blumberg’s Room 313. If you have any questions, see Ms. Blumberg in Room 313. 
  • Current NJHS Members, our first meeting of the year is next Monday, September 21st at 7:30 am in the Media Center
  • Attention 6th and 7th Graders: Are you interested in going on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ecuador in June of 2028? Bring your parents to find our more on Tuesday, September 22nd at 6:00 pm in the Media Center 
  • Pop and Frozen Fridays is here tomorrow after school. Stop by the Mustang Corral for something cold, something sweet, or something buttery. New this year-ITALIAN ICE! We accept cash, cards, and ApplePay, so stop on by.

 

Clubs:

  • Dungeons and Dragons Club has been cancelled today and will meet next week.

 

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Teens Club will meet tomorrow from 7:30-8 am in Room 300
  • Pixels and Pencils Club is meeting tomorrow from 3:15-4 pm in Mrs. Houston’s room 509

 

 

Athletics:

  • Girls Tennis play today against Blevins at Fossil Creek Park, release players at 1:15, load bus at 1:35
  • Today, our Cross Country Team has a meet at Wellington Middle High, release runners at 1:15, load bus at 1:35

 

  • Our Kinard Mustang Football Team showed up yesterday afternoon against CLP. We brought physicality and passion to the field and won convincingly, 38-0 in the Varsity game and 34-0 in the JV game. 
  • All four Volleyball teams won 2-0 in quick fashion. Strong serving leads to big wins!
