Tomorrow’s the big day, Kinard! Our Wellness Fair kicks off on Thursday, September 4th from 5-7 pm with over 20 vendors bringing hands-on activities, resources, and fun. From Colorado Youth Outdoors to the Poudre Libraries, and even an ambulance and fire truck, this event will be packed with excitement. There will even be amazing food trucks and a live DJ bringing the music!
Be sure to pick up a bingo card-visit vendors, mark off your squares, and turn it in to be entered in prize drawings. One lucky winner will walk away with a prize worth more than $500! Don’t miss it!
Clubs:
- Do you really like animals and want to help them? You should consider joining the student-led Animal Lovers Alliance Club. The first meeting will be Monday afternoon, September 8th from 3:15 to 4:15 in Ms. Eitsert’s room 313. All are welcome to join! See Ava Lowry for more information.
- Hey Kinard, we are starting a new club called TSA. TSA is Technology Student Association, and will meet on Monday mornings from 7:20-8:00 am in Mr. Lardner’s room. TSA competes in events like podcasting, engineering, speech, and web design. See Mr. Lardner if you have any questions, or come to room 409 next Monday morning. All grades are welcome.
- We have two more student-led clubs coming back this year, Kinard! Pixels and Pencils is a club where you can come to create and share art after school! Come to Mrs. Houston's room, 509, on Fridays after school from 3:15 to 4:15. We hope to see you there! Dungeons and Dragons Club is also back! They will meet after school on Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:20 in Mr. Costello’s room (#416). If you’re interested in learning about the tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons, come check out the club tomorrow after school! All grades are welcome to join us!
Athletics:
- Our Football Team has their first game today against Timnath here at Kinard. Release players at 2:30, game starts at 3:30.
- Cross Country has a meet today at Spring Canyon Park. Release runners at 1:10, load the bus at 1:30.
- Girls Volleyball have games today against Lesher. Our C Teams will play here at Kinard, release players at 2:30, game starts at 3:30. Varsity/JV play at Lesher, release players at 1:20, load bus at 1:40.
- Boys Tennis have a match today against Lincoln at Lee Martinez Park, release players at 1:15, load bus at 1:35.
- Our Girls Tennis Team have a match tomorrow against CLP
