Important Information:

  • Kinard’s Character Challenge:
    • Giving a genuine compliment is an amazing positivity boost! But compliments are not only good for the recipients—they’re good for the people who give them as well. When you go out of your way to say something nice and give thoughtful praise to another person, it amplifies your self-confidence and nourishes your self-esteem.
    • Challenge: Make someone’s day and share some positivity by giving someone else a genuine and heartfelt compliment. It will make you both feel better! Make sure your compliment is authentic, specific, and directed toward an action or choice the person made. What is something you truly appreciate or notice as a unique quality in the other person?

  • ATTENTION STUDENTS IN KINARD’S GT PROGRAM:  Students with ALPs, who did not meet with Mrs. Grigg last week, will meet this week during ELO.  Please look to receive your GT/ALP Pass with day and time to attend in the media center. This is a required meeting and will be a time for you to explore your ALP goal and gain more understanding.  Please stop by the GT office or email Mrs. Grigg for any questions.

  • Hello Kinard students! This year's Kinard Give Next Class has been given 5,000 dollars to donate to local non-profit organizations! However, selecting only a small group of organizations is a tough task, and that’s why we would like to hear your opinion on what issues you believe our community faces and need to be fixed! A survey should have been sent to all of your ELO teachers as well as your parents through email, but the survey can also be accessed through posters throughout the school and in each ELO classroom. The survey asks about issues in our community that many nonprofits are trying to fix, and we would greatly appreciate your input on what issues you would like us to focus our attention on. Please complete the optional and anonymous survey this week if you would like to share your opinion with us.

  • October is Futures Month:  Take time to think about what you like to do and how that might fit into a career someday.  Answer this question, if you could have any job right now what would it be and why?  The best career choices are usually ones that match your interests and abilities.
