April 18th

Important Information:

  • Our weekly character challenge is here!   Did you know that this Friday is Earth Day?  Earth Day is an annual event on April 22nd to demonstrate support for environmental protection.  People celebrate Earth Day to protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation.  By taking part in activities like picking up litter and planting trees, we’re making our world a happier, healthier place to live.

Challenge:  This week’s Character Challenge is to do something to protect or celebrate the Earth!  Pick up trash around the school or take care of our school grounds, plant some trees or native plants in your own yard, or learn about composting or other things you can do to help protect and contribute to a healthy planet.

  • This Friday is the last day to check out books at your Kinard media center!  Please come to the media center before school, during your lunch, between classes or during ELO to grab a good read today!  Again, Friday is the last day to check out a book.  All books are due back on Friday, May 6th.
