Important Information:
- One of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens is to “seek first to understand, then to be understood.” How do you practice this habit in your life? Do you actively listen and absorb information when others are speaking?
Challenge: Be intentional to actively listen when someone else is talking, whether that is your teacher or a classmate or a friend telling you a story at lunch. Focus on their words, what they are telling you, and seeing from their perspective, instead of what you want to say next or your perception of what they’re saying.
