Important Information:    

  • Today is the day! From 5-7 pm this evening, we are hosting a Community Extravaganza-complete with Wellness Fair and delicious eats from food trucks. Bring your family and come prepared to have an amazing evening with friends and the Kinard community. This event is only for Kinard students and families, so please do not bring friends from other schools. There is no charge to attend, but you will want to bring money for yummy food and desserts. See you there!
  • Pop and Frozen Fridays is back tomorrow! Stop by the Mustang Corral after school for something cold, something sweet, or something buttery. We accept cash, cards, and ApplePay, so stop on by!
  • Calling all Mustang Scientists! Science Olympiad has an optional parent information meeting on September 17th at 6:00 in the Kinard Media Center. Students who want to participate in Science Olympiad are also welcome to attend. Registration opens on September 17th. You can get a form at the information meeting or in Ms. Blumberg’s room 313. If you have any questions, see Ms. Blumberg in room 313. 

 

Clubs:

  • Do you love Dungeons and Dragons or want to learn how to play? Consider joining the student-led DND club! Dungeons and Dragons Club is a club to play DND and teach other students how to play. Regardless of your skill level, DND club is always fun. We will meet on Thursdays, starting today from 3:15 to 4:00 pm in Room 509, Mrs. Houston’s room.  For more details, talk to our student sponsor, Ivy Cytrynowicz, or come to our first meeting today!!
  • If you love any kind of art, you should consider joining our student-led Pixels and Pencils Club! Pixels and Pencils is a club where you can do tons of different kinds of art and socialize with your friends. We will meet on Fridays from 3:15 to 4:00 in room number 509, Mrs. Houston’s room. For more details, talk to our student sponsors Ivy Cytrynowicz, Cole Rustman, or Mason Oxton or come to our first meeting tomorrow!
  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Teens Club will meet tomorrow morning from 7:30-8 am in room 300

 

Athletics:

  • Our Mustangs competing yesterday were outstanding! Our Football team traveled to Lesher and won a huge game to start their season. Our Volleyball girls swept Boltz, winning Varsity, JV, C and D! Our boys Soccer team had their first away game, beating Wellington convincingly. Finally, our Boys Tennis team swept Preston. Congratulations to all our Mustangs that competed yesterday, the hard work and preparation paid off!
  • Girls Tennis play Timnath today at Fossil Creek Park, release players at 1:15, load bus at 1:35
  • Our Cross Country Team is running in the 10th Annual Lincoln Invitational today, release runners at 1:00 pm, load bus at 1:20.
