Important Information:

  • Hey Mustangs! Do you know that your parents likely considered our school’s successful test results when making the decision for you to attend Kinard? Do you know that test-taking skills will be important throughout your life, and practicing test-taking is part of how you will get better at these skills? Do you know we are proud of you and excited to see your dedicated efforts when taking CMAS?

We will begin our CMAS assessments on Monday! It is VERY IMPORTANT that you bring your fully charged laptop and charging cord to school for all CMAS test days. If you would like to read after completing your test, please also bring a physical book because no electronic devices are allowed after testing sessions. Also, try to get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast in the morning to make sure your brain is rested and ready to show what you know! On CMAS days, you will report directly to your CMAS classroom each morning. If you have any questions, see Ms. Bonertz in the main office. We appreciate your hard work and positive attitude toward testing!

To get ourselves ready for CMAS on Monday, it is important to restart our computers so we receive any Windows updates. The district pushes out these updates on Tuesdays, and you may remember that sometimes they update quickly and sometimes they take longer. We do not want you to have to wait for your computer to be ready tomorrow when testing, so we are asking everyone to restart now. We will also do this next Friday.

So, please go ahead and restart your computer now so it is ready to go on Monday!

Also, please know that we are excited for you to be able to show what you’ve learned on CMAS starting on Monday. Most importantly, remember that your value as a person has absolutely nothing to do with any test scores. So, relax, get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast, charge your computer tonight, bring your charger, and be prepared to do your best on Monday!

  • Pop and Frozen Fridays is here today! Stop by the Mustang Corral after school to grab some new treats: vanilla bean ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, fudgesicles, KitKat ice cream cones, candy bars, chips, and various flavors of iced lemonade including lemon, pink lemonade, grape, and cherry
