Important Information:

  • Global Leadership wants to talk to you about marine pollution, pieing teachers, and dunk tanks. Every year, 12 million tons of plastic makes its way into our oceans. You can help reduce this amount by participating in dunking your favorite teachers at Kinard’s Community Extravaganza on May 8th from 5-7 pm or by winning a chance to pie a teacher. This event will also include food trucks, a DJ, fun activities, and a chance to raise money for our environment.  Everyday at lunch GL will be at a table for you to come buy tickets SO BRING YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!  All proceeds go to the Ocean Conservancy non-profit organization. 

 

Clubs:

  • GSA Club has been cancelled today and will resume as normal next week
  • Uno Club meets tomorrow after school from 3:00 to 4:00 in Ms. Eitsert’s room (313)
  • Fitness Club meets tomorrow after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in the Fitness Center
  • Theater Club meets tomorrow after school from 3:15 to 4:15
  • The Give Next Club meets tomorrow after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in the Media Center
  • The Coding Club meets tomorrow after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in Mrs. Shannon’s room (308)
  • Social Justice Service Learning Team meets tomorrow during ELO at 2:35 in the Media Center

 

Athletics:                                          

  • The Girls' Golf team braved the elements again at Mountain Vista yesterday! Catherine Yoo led the way with an outstanding 44! They had amazing drives, chips AND putts! Way to go, girls!! Girls golf play next on Wednesday against Preston.
  • Boys Golf play against Lesher today at Mountain Vista. Tee time is at 2:30, release golfers at 1:30
  • Girls JV Softball won a great game against Wellington, next game for our JV team will be Wednesday against Timnath
  • Girls Varsity Softball have a game today against Webber here at Kinard, release players at 2:30, game starts at 3:30.  
  • Our Track Team did awesome last night. Track will have their next meet next Wednesday. 
  • Our Unified Basketball team have a game tomorrow at Lincoln
  • If you are in Girls Softball there are photo order forms at the front office for you to pick up

 

 Menu:

  • Today the lunch options are:
    • Cheese Calzone and Marinara
    • Lasagna with Veggies and Roll
    • Cold Deli Yogurt and Seasonal Bread
    • Italian Sandwich 
  • Breakfast tomorrow will be French Toast Sticks
