Important Information:

  • This is the last day for the Scholastic Book Fair!  There are so many book options, all your favorite authors, characters and series, you don’t want to miss this!  Be sure to stop by the Book Fair today!
  • Kinard is participating in the Turkey Round Up event! Please donate FROZEN Turkeys, Hams, and Chickens on Thursday November 21st at 7:45 am in front of the Kinard main entrance.  They will be donated to the Larimer County Food Bank.  Gobble Gobble!
  • Pop and Frozen Fridays is here today!  Stop by the Mustang Corral after school to pick up hot cocoa, giant chocolate chip and giant M&M Mary Mountain’s cookies, popcorn, bottled water, or ice cream!
  • Today is Restart Friday!  Regular and specialty ELO Teachers: please remind your students to restart their laptops today to refresh connections and process updates.  And don’t forget to also restart your classroom spare laptop.  Thank you for helping to keep our laptops in tip-top shape!
  • Tomorrow, November 16, is the International Day of Tolerance, a day to honor the different cultures, backgrounds, and ideas that make up our global community. Tolerance includes respecting and understanding different cultural beliefs, traditions, and ways of life. But tolerance isn’t just about accepting others—it’s also about making an effort to work together and create places where everyone feels valued and heard.  The International Day of Tolerance challenges each of us to help make the world more peaceful, fair, and kind. Together, we can create a future where everyone is treated with dignity and where every voice matters.

 

Clubs:

  • National Junior Honor Society members-don’t forget you have a meeting this Monday, at 7:20 am in the Media Center.
  • Pokemon Club meets Monday morning from 7:30 to 8 am in Mr. Costello’s room (416).
  • Baking Club meets Monday after school from 3:15 to 4:30 in room (300).
  • Dodgeball Club is moving to Mondays after school from 3:15 to 4 in the small gym.  Mark your calendars for this change.
  • Our student-led Visual and Literary Arts Club is also moving to Mondays for its meeting day. Come check out Visual and Literary Arts Club  from 3:15 to 4:30 in Mrs. Van Huss Willis’ room (Rm 516) on Monday.

 

Athletics:

  • Yesterday, Varsity/JV Boys Basketball traveled to Blevins and dominated with huge wins for both teams.
  • Today, our Boys Basketball C Team will take on Blevins here at Kinard. Come watch the game at 3:30 after school. Good Luck Mustang Boys!!
  • Looking ahead to Monday our Boys Basketball have games against Preston with Varsity/JV playing here and C Teams playing away.
  • Calling all Wrestlers! If you are interested in wrestling for Kinard we are going to start some open gym wrestling workouts next week. Come join us on both Thursday and Friday next week right after school until 5pm in the small gym. No experience is necessary.
