Education and Professional Background:
My name is Tracy Shannon, and I am honored to teach 6th grade English at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School and to be a part of the Mustang family. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara and completed my teaching credential at California State University, Fresno. I have 10 years of experience teaching in California and 8 years of teaching experience here in Poudre School District. This year will mark my 18th year as an educator, and I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to share my love of literacy with my students.
Personal Interests and Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with my family and have a middle schooler of my own. We love exploring the beautiful places around Colorado, hiking, camping, and going on bike rides. In my spare time, I love to cook, go for a run, listen to music, and relax with a good book. I also will be assisting with coaching Kinard’s cross-country and softball teams. I am excited to contribute to Kinard’s success in and out of the classroom!
