About Me

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am the librarian at Kinard. I received my bachelor's degree in Library Science at University of Nebraska - Omaha and have about a year to go before I receive my Master's in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. Before becoming a librarian, I worked in the healthcare field for more than two decades before burnout set in and I realized I wanted to embrace my passion for reading; nothing makes me happier than getting books into students' hands, especially reluctant readers, and watching them fall in love with reading as well.

In my very limited free time, I love spending time with my family: my husband Jason, our 4-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound, Herbie, and my 12-year-old son, Luke.
