Important Information:

  • October is Futures Month!  Take time to think about what you like to do and how that might fit into a career someday. Answer this question, if you could have any job right now what would it be and why? The best career choices are usually ones that match your interests and abilities.
  • Thank you to all who wore your College Gear yesterday! We had a lot of entries in our raffle and had eight winners. If you hear your name, please come to Student Services sometime today to claim a prize. Our teacher winner was Mrs. Jordan! The student winners are:  Leo Anderson, Sawyer Habbley, Keita Kushiyama, Eleanor Leyna, Benjamin Luckett, Ben Riggs, Cash Weber, Claire Wetzbarger.
  • To celebrate everyone’s first quarter accomplishments and to have a little fun, we’re going to be hosting a Mustang Spirit Week starting on Monday, October 27th. Each day will be a different spirit celebration to allow everyone a chance to have fun and express themselves. Please remember that PSD dress policy must be followed on all spirit days.
    See the posters in the halls for more information, and start planning your spirit week outfits now!
    • Monday, October 27th will be Pajama Day.                                                         
    • Tuesday, October 28th will be Mismatch Day, so wear the craziest patterns and wildest colors you can.
    • Wednesday, October 29th will be our last College Colors Day, so wear gear or a jersey to represent your favorite college or one you hope to attend someday.
    • Thursday, October 30th will be Crazy Accessories Day, so wear a funny hat, silly socks, a colorful scarf, or some other favorite accessory.
    • Friday, October 31st will be Dress-Up Day where you can wear a school-appropriate costume to school.
  • Pop and Frozen Fridays is here tomorrow! Stop by the Mustang Corral tomorrow after school to pick up yummy treats including LOTS of new flavors from Kilwin’s, Walrus, and Mary Mountain Cookies including Sea Salt and Caramel, S’Mores, Lemon Sorbetto, Cotton Candy, Blue Moon, And Chocolate and Mint with Edible Cookie Dough.

 

Clubs:

  • Dungeons and Dragons Club meets today from 3:15 to 4:20 in Mr. Costello’s room (416)
  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Teens Club will meet tomorrow morning from 7:30-8 am in Room 300.
  • Pixels and Pencils meets tomorrow from 3:15 to 4:15 in Ms. Houston’s art room (509)
  • The next NJHS meeting will be Monday, October 27th at 7:20 in the Media Center. This meeting is for those members that participated last year, please bring your computer and planner.

 

Athletics:

  • Boys Basketball tryouts continue today for 7th and 8th graders after school in the gym.

  • Today the lunch options are:
    • Taco Bar Beef and Rice
    • Cold Deli Yogurt and Seasonal Bread
    • Southwest Chicken Salad
  • Breakfast tomorrow will be Bagel and Cream Cheese
