Important Information:

  • National Bilingual/Multicultural Learner Advocacy Month, observed throughout the month of April, celebrates the linguistic diversity and cultural richness within Poudre School District. It is a time to recognize and honor the experiences, contributions, and funds of knowledge bilingual and multicultural learners bring to their classrooms.
    • With a growing population of students who speak languages other than English at home, embracing bilingualism and multiculturalism in education is more important than ever. It is imperative we recognize the challenges our bilingual and multilingual learners face and grow in our practice so we can meet their needs. This month provides an opportunity to advocate for policies and practices that support the needs and rights of these learners.
