Important Information:

Hello Kinard Staff and Students!  With the start of November, Kinard's Social Justice Learning Team invites you to join us in celebration of National Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor the rich cultures, traditions, and histories of many American Indian peoples. Throughout this month, we recognize the diverse and unique contributions that American Indians have made in our country.  We encourage everyone to take time to appreciate the diversity and resilience of Indigenous communities and their important role in our nation’s history. 

In the media center, our Social Justice Team is working on creating interactive activities and learning opportunities through books, visuals and more so students and staff can explore the many Native American cultures, traditions, stories, and the ways in which American Indian communities continue to influence and enrich our society today. From art and music to leadership and activism, American Indians have shaped the story of America in countless ways.  Stay tuned for updates throughout the month!

 

Clubs:

  • Animal Lovers Alliance meets today after school from 3:15 to 4:15 in Ms. Eitsert’s room 313.
  • Baking Club meets today after school from 3:15 to 4:30 in room 300.
  • Fitness Club meets today after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in the Fitness room by the small gym.
  • Animation Club meets today after school from 3:15 to 4:15 in Mrs. Springett’s room 323.
  • Kinard Student Wellness Team with Mr. Benson meets tomorrow before school from 7:30 to 8:00 am in the cafeteria.
  • Yodeler’s Society meets tomorrow morning from 7:30 to 8:00 am in the big gym.
  • MathCounts meets tomorrow after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in the Media Center
  • Comic Bookers meets tomorrow after school from 3:15 to 4:15 in Mr. Costello’s room 416.
  • GSA Club meets tomorrow after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in Mr. Rolling’s room 312.
  • Hello Pokemon Fans!  Do you love Pokemon and wish you could do more Pokemon activities? Well come down to Mrs. Griffey’s room 710 this Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:15 to explore the fun and check out our new student-led Pokemon Club.
  • Science Bowl which normally meets on Wednesday has been cancelled this week and will resume as normal next week.

 

Athletics:

  • Wrestling Open mats continue this week. Anyone is welcome to join and learn about wrestling. Open mats will be from 3:30-5 pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 
  • Our Boys Basketball teams have games today against Wellington.  C/D Teams play at Wellington, release players at 1:20, load bus at 1:35.  Varsity/JV play here at Kinard, release players at 2:30, game starts at 3:30.  Good Luck Boys!
