Clubs

At Kinard, students have the opportunity to get involved with many different extracurricular clubs and activities. These programs provide students an outlet to gain new skills, connect with friends, have fun, and solidify a sense of belonging to Kinard. Historically, over 500 students participate in Kinard clubs and activities each year.

Fitness Club

Lego Robotics

In Lego Robotics, students learn to understand the basics of STEM and apply their skills in an exciting competition while building habits of teamwork, collaboration, and critical thinking. Important dates - November 18 - Qualifier at Poudre HS, December 9 - State Competition in Denver.

Mustang Kickers Club

NaNoWriMo Club

NaNoWriMo, also known as National Novel Writing Month, is a chance to put your creative mind to the test and experience an empowering approach to creative writing. The challenge: draft an entire novel in just one month. For 30 wild, exciting, surprising days, you get to lock away your inner editor, let your imagination take over, and just create!

In NJHS, students focus their leadership skills on planning and implementing community service projects for non-profits around the world.  Membership by application only. New members can apply each year in January.


Running Club

STEM Club

In STEM Club, students practice the scientific method and design and implement their own experiments. No sign-up is necessary, just drop in if you want to try some fun, hands-on STEM activities and experiments!

Students can choose from 23 different events that make up the Science O challenges.                                                                                                                                 


Yearbook

In Yearbook ELO, students create page layouts for our nationally-recognized, award winning yearbook. Staff members (including 6th, 7th, and 8th graders) take pictures to fill pages, write captions, and learn journalism standards.  This is a year-long program.                          

Student Initiated and Led Organizations


Student initiated and led organizations must reapply each year. Students interested in starting a student initiated and led organization must first meet with Mrs. LaRue to start the application process and to understand PSD policy around student initiated and led organizations.
