We are looking forward to meeting you and sharing information about Kinard at our Back to School Night, Thursday, August 22. The purpose of Back to School Night is to provide parents with insight into your child’s daily schedule and classroom routines. This is a great opportunity for parents/guardians to meet teachers, ask questions, tour classrooms, and learn about a variety of school resources to support your child’s learning throughout the year. We have designed the evening to focus on a parent audience.

Please mark your calendars with the following registration options. While we are offering an online option this year, we recommend coming in person if possible. Especially for our incoming 6th graders and other students new to Kinard, this is an important transition event and gives us a chance to welcome students and answer questions!

Get Ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way! Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers. In addition, every book students buy earns rewards for our school.

Our in-person Book Fair will take place from November 14-16 in the Kinard Media Center. The hours for students will be from 8:00 - 4:00 daily. Families can also attend on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:30 - 8:00 am or on any of the days from 3:15 - 4:00.

PSD's School Choice program allows families to select the school that best meets their child's educational needs based on space availability and eligibility requirements. A school choice application is required to attend a school that is not a student’s neighborhood school or to attend a choice only school.
