Hello Kinard Middle Community!
I’m excited to be starting my 13th year teaching English and my first year at Kinard!
I was born in Greeley and attended Colorado State University (Go Rams!). I spent the first eight years of my teaching career in Colorado, teaching in Cherry Creek, Brighton, and Fort Lupton before my family moved to South Carolina. After five years there, we made our way back home to Colorado, and I’m so happy to be back!
My husband is a former service member, and we have three kids, two dogs, and a cat, so there’s always something going on at our house.
Outside of school, I love pop culture, museums, road trips, traveling, and, obviously, reading and writing. I’m the kind of person who always has at least three books going at once: a physical book for daytime, an audiobook for the car, and a Kindle book for reading at night.
Most of all, I’m so excited to work with my students this year! I love getting to know my students, hearing their ideas and perspectives, and helping them grow as readers, writers, and people. I’m looking forward to a great first year at Kinard!
