Important Information:

This is Neurodiversity Week. During the week of March 18th-24th we celebrate neurodiversity in our community. Approximately 15-20% of our community has a neurodivergent ability. Neurodiversity is a term people use to describe how our brains are wired differently in how we think, process information, and communicate. People who use the term neurodivergent to describe their thinking may have dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Autism, or ADHD.

Today is the Vernal Equinox, which marks the first day of the season of spring. The sun shines nearly equally on both hemispheres when it’s spring in the Northern Hemisphere and simultaneously falls in the Southern Hemisphere.

To celebrate the accomplishments of our winter sports, competing clubs and teams, we will be hosting a “parade of champions” during the first part of ELO tomorrow. The following groups will be recognized during the parade of champions: Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Wrestling, Science Olympiad, Math Counts, CU Honor Band, All State Choir, PSD Honor Choir and three Kinard Dodgeball Division Champion teams. If you were part of one of these teams or groups, you need to meet in the gym after 7th period tomorrow, you do not need to check into your ELO first.

We have a lot of Kinard sports underway.
- The softball team meets for practice today after school on the softball field .
- Golf tryouts begin today; see Mr. Jackson or Mrs. Fleming with questions. Girl golfers are released today at 1:00. Boy golfers are released today at 1:20.
- Track pre-season camp is today after school; please meet in the gym.
Make sure you have a valid sports physical on file, have registered on sportsengine and have paid your athletic fee on school pay and get ready for FUN!
