Important Information:

  • February is African-American History Month
  • National Serpent Day

 

Attention 8th graders 

  • High school registration forms are due Thursday, Feb 2nd for Fossil, Timnath and Rocky.  Friday, Feb 3rd for Poudre and Fort Collins.  Counselors will be here to meet with you individually. 
  • You need to have all your completed registration forms ready for turn in with parent signatures. 
  • You will receive a ticket during the first hour of the day with a specific time to come down to see a high school counselor. 
  • If you have any questions, please see Ms. Irvine or Mrs. Young 

 

  • Attention science Olympiad participants.  There will be an important meeting on Wednesday during ELO to finalize team members on each of the 23 events.  If you cannot attend, please see Mr. McGonagil sometime before Wednesday to finalize your events. Report to your ELO, then to room 510 for this important meeting.

 

  • “If you have ever been skiing, you know about avalanche warnings.  We have started our own avalanche here at Kinard, this is an avalanche of appreciation.  If you have something in your life you appreciate, we want to hear about it.  Each of your teachers have the cards to fill out.  When you've completed a card drop it off in student services and we will post it on our avalanche wall outside the 7th grade art room.  Stop by and take a look at the ones accumulating already!!” 

 

  • The PE department is selling Diabolos (Chinese Yo-Yos) until Friday, February 10th.  Please see any of the PE teachers before or after school to purchase yours today! They are $22 each.

 

  • 3 days left to check the LOST and FOUND before everything will be donated. 

 

Clubs:

  • Fitness club is today after school until 4pm in the small Gym. 
  • STEM club and Running club are tomorrow.

 

Athletics:

  • Our basketball teams take on Boltz today!  The Varsity and JV team plays here at Kinard right after school and those athletes are released from class at 2:30.  The C team will be traveling to Boltz and will be released from class at 1:45.

Menu:

  • Today the lunch options are:
    • Asian Bar - Teriyaki beef or chicken
    • Turkey avocado club wrap
    • Meat Lovers Pizza
  • Served for breakfast tomorrow is are French toast sticks
