Important Information:
- National Flapjack Day
- Unified basketball applications are due today. Please turn in your form to the student services office if you are interested in this fun partnership with students in the ILS program. See Ms. Irvine if you have questions.
- Kinard is celebrating March BOOK Madness! Fill out your own book bracket and the best bracket WINS! English classes will be voting this Friday to CHEER their favorite books to the next round! The results from each week will be displayed on a large bracket in the cafeteria. The champion book and the book bracket winners will be announced on April 3rd! Personal book brackets are out NOW in the media center and are due back on Friday if you want to compete for a prize! Come by and grab yours, fill it out and return it to see if YOU will have a PERFECT BRACKET!
Clubs:
- Math Counts is today in the Media Center from 3:15pm-4:15pm. This will be the last Math Counts for the school year. We will be celebrating our members and the magical world of pi.
- Running club is also today after school outside the gym from 3:15-4pm.
- Fitness Club and Theater club are tomorrow.
Athletics:
- The JV girls basketball beat Preston again last night to claim victory in their post season game. They had an amazing season with only one loss and 9 wins! The varsity girls lost to Preston but will play for 3rd on Wednesday at Rocky Mountain High School at 5 p.m.
- Spring sports are starting NOW! If you are participating in CAMP you need to register online using SportsEngine and confirm you have a current athletic physical on file with Mrs. Arnold. If you are trying out for golf or plan to start the first day of the season for track and field or softball you must have paid your $130 athletic fee either with a check or on SchoolPay. See Mrs. Arnold with any questions.
- Softball camp is happening this week! Camp runs today through Friday from 3:30-5:30. Regular season begins on the Monday after spring break.
- Golfers! If you plan to try out for golf at Kinard your athletic paperwork is due THIS Friday. Again, THIS Friday is the due date to have your fee paid and your paperwork complete to get a tee time for tryouts.
- Track and Field athletes! Track camp begins the Wednesday after spring break! Are you planning to attend camp? Remember: current physical and register on sportsengine. First day of the regular season is Monday, March 27th and your $130 athletic fee is due by that date.
Again, there are THREE items to participate in a sport: current physical on file, registered on SportsEngine, athletic fee of $130 paid with a check or on SchoolPay. If you need help getting registered for a sport please see Mrs. Arnold!
