Important Information:

  • National Static Electricity Day

     
  • Kinard’s Character Challenge:
    • Welcome back! We are excited to kick off the second semester with you, Mustangs. Did any of you make any New Year’s resolutions? This is a time of year to reflect and set goals for how you would like your new year to go. What goals do you have for yourself at school? How are you contributing positively to our Kinard culture? 

 

  • Challenge: Demonstrate positivity and a great attitude to kick off our second semester. Show that you are contributing to a healthy school culture by helping to ensure you and all of your classmates are happy, healthy, and ready to learn.

 

  • NJHS members have a meeting on Friday, January 13th at 7:30 in the Media Center. Please see the schedule posted in our Google Classroom for upcoming dates.

 

  • The winter read-a-thon entries are pouring in!  Don’t forget that for every hour you read over break you can submit one entry in the drawing for AMAZING prizes!  Come by the media center by Thursday morning to enter.   Winners announced Friday during the morning announcements.  

 

  • Attention all Dancers & Actors at Kinard!  We’re starting up the after-school Theatre Club in cooperation with the Drama ELO.  Together, we’re producing the musical ‘Newsies’ as well as a coordinated dance project with the Fort Collins High School Dance & Cheer team.  We need actors and dancers to join us for these projects.  If you’re interested, join Mr. Wheeler during ELO this Wednesday, January 11th in the choir room.  Check in with your ELO teacher first, then come down to the choir room this Wednesday afternoon.  We’ll see you on Wednesday!

 Clubs:

  • Fitness club is after school today in the small gym from 3:15-4pm.
  • Math Counts is tomorrow in the Media Center from 3:15pm-4:15pm.
  • Running club is also tomorrow outside from 3:15-4pm.

Athletics:

  • Wrestling camp starts today!  You will only need a current physical on file and have registered to participate in camp.  We will see you after school!

Menu:

  • Today the lunch options are:
    • Chicken drumsticks & a roll
    • Turkey gravy & a roll
    • Buffalo chicken wrap
  • Served for breakfast tomorrow are mini cinnamon rolls
