Daily Announcements

Important Information:

  • National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day

 

  • Students going to Fossil Ridge next year, on Thursday, March 2nd, there will be representatives here at lunchtime to present to anyone interested in hearing more about leadership opportunities at Fossil.  You will get your lunch and come to the media center to hear about and ask questions of students that are in these programs.  Sign up on Wednesday at lunch or see Mrs. Young or Ms. Irvine in the Student Services office. 

 

  • Attention Science Olympians!!!
    • The competition schedule for this Saturday is posted outside of Mr. McGonagil’s classroom. Please familiarize yourself with your schedule so you can be in the right place at the right time. Final pack up will be this Thursday night for Build events and Friday for everyone else.  Please plan accordingly. If you have any questions, please ask your coaches this week.

 

  • Attention 7th graders  
    • Looking for another leadership opportunity to join?  Remember when you were a 6th grader and had those amazing WEB leaders help you? Now is your opportunity to become a WEB leader for our incoming 6th graders!  Applications are available in Student Services now.  Being a WEB leader will not interfere with any other leadership classes. Applications are due March 7th If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Young, Ms. Irvine or Mrs. Beecher.



 

Clubs:

  • Fitness club is today after school until 4pm in the small Gym. 
  • Theater club is also today after school in the Media Center from 3:10-4:10pm.
  • STEM club and Running club are tomorrow.

 

Athletics:

  • Our basketball teams play Wellington today.  The C teams will be traveling to Wellington and will be released from class at 1:15.  The varsity and jv teams play here at Kinard and those athletes will be released at 2:30.  Stay after school and cheer on our Mustangs!

 

  • Have you signed up for track and field yet? Mr. Benson would love to have you as part of the team. Look for a personal email sent to you with a link for how to sign up, or go to the track and field website for more information.

 

  • Kinard softball camp starts Monday!  If you want to join the softball team, optional camp each day next week from 3:30-5:30!  In order to participate you will need to have registered on sportsengine and have a current athletic physical on file.  To start the regular season you will need those two things PLUS have paid your athletic fee.  See Mrs. Arnold with questions.

 

  • Are you interested in trying out for the Kinard golf team?  An informational meeting will be held this Friday in the foods room during ELO.  If you are a boy or a girl in 6th, 7th or 8th grade (so everyone!) that wants to play golf at Kinard ATTEND the meeting on Friday.

  • Today the lunch options are:
    • Asian bar - teriyaki beef or chicken
    • Turkey or Ham & cheese sandwich
    • Supreme pizza
  • Served for breakfast tomorrow is are mini pancakes
