Important Information:

  • Today is World Freedom Day and on Saturday is Veterans Day. Do you know the significance of Veterans Day in the United States? WWI known as the “Great War'' officially ended with the Treaty of Versailles on June 28, 1919. However, fighting ceased months earlier when an armistice, or cease fire, was agreed upon between the Allied Powers and Germany on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918. For that reason November 11 is regarded as Veterans Day here in the US. So in the next few days, we encourage you to take a moment to honor all our veterans that have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. You may even have some family members who are veterans and we have some teachers and staff in the building who served in the armed forces. Join us in recognizing their honor and sacrifice.

  • Attention all Kinard students and staff, all PSD schools will participate in a Lockdown Drill Week next week between the dates of Nov. 13th and 17th as part of the district’s ongoing safety and security efforts. On the day and time that the district comes to Kinard for our drill, there will be some police officers here to help us run the drill. Again this will be a drill and there is no actual emergency or active threat to the school. If you are feeling stressed either before this drill happens or afterwards, our counselors are here for support. The safety of our students and staff at Kinard is the top priority, and participating in these drills together builds upon our shared culture of safety.

  • This year NJHS is continuing the Tour De Turkey round up. We are collecting turkeys, hams, and chickens to donate to the Larimer County Food Bank. On the morning of November 16 from 7:40 to 8:20 please bring your frozen donation to the front of Kinard.

  • This is the last day to check the LOST & FOUND before the three day weekend.
