February 17th

Important Information:

  • Starting Tuesday, February 22nd we will transition to using our traditional cafeteria set up, which means that we will not use the auxiliary gym for additional lunchroom seating. Also, this means that we will no longer ask students to complete seating charts, nor will we limit seating to 4 students to a table.

We will continue to allow students to choose to eat outside. We will be setting up some seating in the courtyard for students who choose to eat outside. Inside, we will continue to ask students to spray and wipe down tables and raise hands to be dismissed.

If you have concerns about the changes to lunch that will be coming up next week, please see your counselor for other possible options.

  • Our Kinard National Junior Honor Society is hosting a fundraiser for Monarch High School in Louisville.  Many Monarch students were impacted by the Marshall fires and are in need of backpacks and scientific calculators. We are collecting NEW backpacks and NEW scientific calculators to be delivered to Monarch next week. Donations can be dropped off in the main office or in room 505.  Last day to donate is this Tuesday, February 22nd.  Please see Mrs. Hergenreder or Mrs. Arnold with questions.

  • Hey Mustangs!  Tomorrow is the last day to submit a video for our virtual Talent Show!  Make sure to visit flipgrid.com/kinardtalent and show your stuff.  We’re looking to feature as many of you as we can in our premiere video on March 11th, so make sure to record your act before it’s too late!  See Mr. Graham with any questions.

  • Have you misplaced something while here at school?  A coat, sweatshirt, water bottle?  We have a lot of items in the Kinard lost and found that need to go back to their owner!  All items left in the Kinard lost and found will be donated TOMORROW.

Sports:

  • Are you looking to participate in Kinard golf, softball or track?  Registration for those sports is open!  In order to participate you need to registered on SportsEngine, have paid your athletic fee on SchoolPay or with a check and have a current physical on file.  Questions?  See Mrs. Arnold!  Let’s take care of this part of the process early so no one misses time participating!

  • Attention all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. The track season will be here SOON (first part of April!) and Mr. Benson would love to have you on the team. He has sent a message to your PSD email with more information about Track so check that out.  Questions?  See Mr. Benson.

  • Golfers! Did you miss the golf meeting yesterday in ELO?  If so, you can see Mrs. Fleming of Mr. Lardner for details.  Remember, you have two weeks to get all your paperwork complete to participate!

Clubs:

  • This is a reminder to our MathCounts competitors that today is the day!  The Northern Colorado Chapter competition will take place in the media center at 3:15. Sharpen your pencils, bring your calculators, and get ready for some challenging problem solving!

  • Science Fair Club meets in room 315 after school.

Menu:

  • Today for lunch we are serving beef and bean burrito, chicken ceasar salad, or in the hot sandwich line there will be cheeseburger, hamburger, chicken patty or spicy chicken patty sandwich. Tomorrow for breakfast we will serve cinnamon toast crunch soft filled bars.
