Important Information:

  • Our weekly character challenge is here!  A servant leader is a person who sees leadership as an opportunity to serve others and not as a position of power or control.  Servant leaders can often be found behind the scenes contributing to making their community better through support, collaboration and lifting others up.

Challenge:  How can you be a servant leader at school?  Find opportunities this week to jump in when someone needs help or to encourage another person to reach their full potential.  Leadership is not always bold, loud or obvious; sometimes we need a quiet, steady, supportive leader even more.  Be a servant leader this week!

  • Exciting news from your Media Center!  We are having a Reading Challenge over spring break!  Yes!  Another fun opportunity to win prizes for reading!  You simply complete one of the challenges over spring break and enter to WIN!  The challenges are:

Reread a childhood favorite book.

Reread a favorite book from the last year.

Reread a book and rewatch the film.

Reread a book that you disliked the first time you read it.

Read a picture book.

Read a book that you think you will want to reread in the future.

Reread a sequel.

Any questions?  Mrs. Arnold or Mrs. Fabrizio in the Media Center can help!

  • Attention 7th graders!  If you are looking for another leadership opportunity being a WEB leader could be perfect for you!  WEB leaders are students that assist incoming 6th graders in their transition to school. Being a WEB leader does not interfere with other leadership classes. Applications are available in Student Services and are due March 11th. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Young, Ms. Irvine or Mrs. Bell.
