Important Information:

  • National Dentist’s Day

     
  • Kinard’s Character Challenge:
    • Having pride in your school can be a powerful thing! It can boost morale and help students to perform their best! It also helps our community grow closer together and find commonalities.  
    • Challenge: This week try to wear Kinard gear or colors of blue, gold, and red. This will help with school culture and demonstrate how proud we are to be a part of the Kinard family! Be sure to shout out and give kudos to students who are also rockin’ their Mustang gear.

 

  • It was another successful Saturday of competition for the Kinard Science Olympians!
    • The TOP 16 TEAMS from competition will move on to STATE on April 1st at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.  All Kinard Science Olympians are going to state!!!
    • Congratulations to all participants from the Blue team (3rd place overall) and the Red team (9th overall) and to Erika Tang from the Yellow team who filled in for the Red team in Solar System to help them qualify!

 

  • Attention 7th graders  
    • Have you been thinking about being a WEB leader?  Remember, this leadership activity will not interfere with any other 8th grade class, sports or leadership program. Applications are available in the Student Services Office and are due March 7th. 

 

  • Our Media Center will be celebrating March Madness with a March Madness BOOK Tournament! You are able to fill out your own book bracket and the best bracket WINS! English classes will be voting each Friday to CHEER their favorite books to the next round! The results from each week will be displayed on a large bracket in the cafeteria. The champion book and the book bracket winners will be announced on April 3rd!  Book brackets are out NOW in the media center!  Come by and grab yours, fill it out and return it to see if YOU will have a PERFECT BRACKET!  

 

 

 Clubs:

  • Fitness club is after school today in the small gym from 3:15-4pm.
  • Math Counts and Running Club are tomorrow.
  • Theater club is moved to Wednesday instead of today.

 

Athletics:

  • Our basketball team enters the PSD championships today against Preston!  Athletes will be released at 1:55.  Make your way to Preston after school to cheer on our team…tip off is 3:30!

 

  • Softball camp starts today after school! Softball players should meet outside the gym on the grass in between the softball fields. Softball camp is a perfect way to see if softball at Kinard is for you before the regular season begins on the Monday after spring break.  Camp runs today through Friday from 3:30-5:30. In order to participate you will need to have registered on sportsengine and have a current athletic physical on file.  To start the regular season you will need those two things PLUS have paid your athletic fee.  See Mrs. Arnold with questions.

 

  • Golfers!  If you plan to try out for golf at Kinard your athletic paperwork is due by Friday.  You will need to have paid your athletic fee, confirmed you are registered on sportsengine and have a current athletic physical form on file to get a tee time for tryouts.  Again, THIS Friday is the due date to have everything turned in for golf tryouts.  

 

  • Track and Field athletes!  Track camp begins the Monday after spring break!  Are you planning to attend camp?  You need to have registered on sportsengine and have a current athletic physical on file.  To start regular season camp you must pay your athletic fee on schoolpay.

    • BBQ pulled chicken sandwich
    • Chicken drumstick & roll
    • Chicken caesar wrap
  • Served for breakfast tomorrow are mini cinnamon rolls
