- Tomorrow is Lunar New Year. Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, marks the beginning of the lunar calendar and is widely celebrated in East Asia and by communities around the world. Each year is associated with one of the twelve Chinese zodiac animals, and festivities often include fireworks to ward off evil spirits. 2024 is the year of the dragon.
