About Me

My name is Lindsey Nelson and I am excited to teach 6th grade math at Kinard! I grew up in Syracuse, NY, went to school at James Madison University in Virginia, and then moved to Colorado for the beautiful weather and great outdoors. My Fiance and I welcomed our first child, Tyler, in April of this year. He keeps us busier than ever (especially at night!), but I am loving this crazy parenting adventure. 

I taught 1st grade for 7 years and although I will miss the little ones greatly, I've always known teaching middle school is my dream. Math is my passion and I strive to help every student take the slogan "I'm not a math person" out of their vocabulary!
