Ansley Garnett is an Integrated Services teacher in the Multicategorical program, and this is her 18th year as a Mustang. Ansley received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and her Master's Degree in Special Education. She played college volleyball, and coached high school, club, and middle school volleyball for 18 years. Her vision as a teacher is to recognize each student's strengths, hold them accountable to their potential, and help them become confident, capable, and well-rounded members of the community. Outside of school, Ansley is currently the head coach for the Horizon Volleyball Club 16U team and is committed to helping players build the confidence, discipline, and character needed to succeed at the next level. At the heart of her work is building meaningful relationships that empower her students and athletes to develop a strong sense of who they are and pride in what they can accomplish.
Ansley has an amazing son, Tre, who graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in May 2017 and then from the University of Oregon in December 2020 - Go Ducks! After graduation, he received a Doctoral Fellowship from the University of California, Riverside, and in the fall of 2021, he moved to California to pursue his educational goals. Tre received his Master of Arts in Political Science in the spring of 2024 and is a PhD candidate in Political Science, while also serving as a Teaching Assistant in the Political Science Department.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to live music, and watching sports. Being born in Pittsburgh and raised in Texas, she will cheer for the Texas Longhorns on Saturday and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. And having family from Hawaii, Ansley loves being near the ocean.
