Important Information:

  • National Hard Candy Day

 

  • Kinard Character Challenge:
    • While this is an exciting and festive time of year, it can also be stressful and very busy. You may have summatives in class, after school events, and family commitments. It is important to be able to manage your time, prioritize your most urgent needs, and know that it is ok to take a break and rest when needed. 
    • Challenge: Finish this last week of the first semester strong! Demonstrate grit and resilience and know that your character is revealed through adversity and challenge.

  • Hope you’re feeling extra relaxed and cozy in your pajamas to kick off our last few days of second semester this week. Remember, tomorrow is our second spirit day. Wear flannel tomorrow to participate!

  • The Kinard Winter Read-a-Thon begins on Thursday!  We have a lot of great books you can check out during your winter break.  For every hour you read from this Thursday until January 4th you can enter to win FUN prizes!  We have posters, book marks, new books, and other items from the book fair to give away to winners.  Relax and read during your break!

  • Only 3 days left to check the LOST & FOUND before everything will be donated over the holiday break. 

Clubs:

  • Fitness club is after school today in the small gym from 3:15-4pm.

Athletics:

  • The PSD boys basketball semi-finals are today here at Kinard right after school!  Our varsity team goes into this game undefeated and will be playing Lincoln to move on to the championship game.  Make plans to stay after school and cheer on our Mustangs! Player release time is 2:30.  Let’s GO!
  • Kinard girls basketball and wrestling starts in January!  Girls basketball camp starts the first day back from winter break;  January 5th.  Wrestling camp begins on Monday, January 9th.  

Menu:

  • Today the lunch options are:
    • Green chili bowl with beef or chicken
    • Buffalo chicken wrap
  • Served for breakfast tomorrow is a yogurt parfait
