Mrs. Verner is thrilled to teach 8th grade English and Multimedia Explorations this year at Kinard. She believes every student has a story to tell. She previously taught middle school in Chicago and English in China, where she lived for five years. Mrs. Verner has her bachelors and masters from Wheaton College in Chicago and is currently studying to get her MFA in creative writing. She calls herself a writer (as she will encourage her students to do--especially after this year in her class!) Mrs. Verner lives in Fort Collins with her husband, three elementary-aged children, and a dog named Ozzie. To be a healthy human, she thrives on nature, sunshine, and pursuing activities like sewing, woodworking, exercise, and travel. Mrs. Verner looks forward to discussing literature with her classes and growing together as writers this year at Kinard!
