Important Information:  

  • Attention 7th Graders -- Looking for another leadership opportunity to join? WEB Leaders are current 7th Grade Students that assist incoming 6th Graders in their transition to school. This is a great opportunity to share your knowledge and help others! Being a WEB Leader will not interfere with any other leadership classes. Applications are available in Student Services. Applications are due February 25th. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Young, Ms. Irvine, or Ms. Wightman.
     
  • If you can dodge a ball, you can win it all! Join the Annual Kinard Dodgeball Tournament on Thursday, March 12th from 3:30-7:30 pm. Bring a team of six or sign up as a free agent. Registration is $30 per team. Visit tinyurl.com/Kinarddodgeball for details.
     
  • One of the spring sports that Kinard offers is Unified Basketball. This is a team that unites athletes and partners to enjoy the game of basketball and engage in a team experience while working with students with disabilities. Our season runs from April 6th to May 7th and we have 2 practices and one game per week. Applications are available in Student Services and are due by Thursday, March 5th. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Irvine.
     
  • Today is the last day that Give Next will be holding their fundraiser this year. After school students will be selling crafts, including 3-D printed items. All money raised will go to nonprofit organizations in Northern Colorado that support the mental well-being of youth and families. 
     
  • Pop and Frozen Fridays has been cancelled today and will return next Friday!
     
  • Today is Restart Friday! Regular and specialty ELO Teachers: please remind your students to restart their laptops today to refresh connections and process updates. And don’t forget to also restart your classroom spare laptop. Thank you for helping to keep our laptops in tip-top shape!
     
  • For new and current NJHS members, induction is this Monday, February 23rd at 7:20 am in the Media Center. Congratulations to all of our new members!

 

Clubs:

  • Pixels and Pencils has been cancelled today and will return next week
  • TSA meets on Monday from 7:20 to 8:00 am in Mr. Lardner’s room 409
  • Social Justice Learning Team meets Monday during ELO in the Media Center
  • Animal Lovers Alliance meets on Monday from 3:15 to 4:15 in Ms. Eitsert’s room 313
  • Baking Club meets on Monday from 3:15 to 4:30 in room 300
  • Fitness Club meets on Monday from 3:15 to 4:00 in the Fitness Room by the small gym
  • Animation Club meets on Monday from 3:15 to 4:15 in Mrs. Springett’s room 323
  • Pickleball Club meets on Monday from 3:15 to 4:00 in the cafeteria
  • Theatre Club with Mr. Wheeler meets on Monday from 3:15 to 4:15

 

Athletics

  • Girls Basketball Varsity/JV Teams will play Lincoln here at Kinard on Monday.  C/D teams have a BYE.   
  • Wrestling won in decisive fashion over Lincoln yesterday evening with a final score of 92-29
