Parent/Guardian Info Night - Thursday, September 24
Middle school is a transformative three years in the life of an adolescent. We are grateful to partner with Kinard parents and families as we encourage, support, and challenge our students in the classroom and beyond. We invite you to join us on Thursday, September 24, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Kinard for a Parent/Guardian Info Night where we will discuss several topics that support students during these pivotal years.
This evening is designed for parents to help support the developmental needs of your middle school students and to introduce our standards based instruction and grading practices. We request that students stay at home, as the evening is structured for a parent audience only.
The primary topics will be:
- Standards-Based Instruction and Feedback Practices
- Speaker: Dave Meuret, Math Department Leader and Standards-Based Grading Guru
- Keys to Strong Support and Communication with a Middle Schooler
- Speakers: Karen Irvine and Patti Young, Counselors
