Important Information:

  • ATTENTION STUDENTS IN KINARD’S GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAM:

Today, ALL students in Kinard’s GT Program return to the media center for the GT Liftoff and ALP Mini-Fair!  This is a required meeting with Mrs. Grigg, Kinard’s GT Coordinator.  Please bring your sack lunch and your GT Lunch Pass. Students will learn from their peers and explore the many ALP goal options at the Mini-Fair.   Please see Mrs. Grigg in the GT office, room 306, downstairs orange pod, for any questions.  See you at lunch today!

  • How would you like to be the next Morty the mustang? Tomorrow is the last day to enter to be selected! If you are interested, pick up a permission slip from the media center, fill it out with your parents and turn it in tomorrow. We’ll pick one lucky winner next week.
  • Do you have YOUR computer? Please take a moment RIGHT NOW to look at the computer you are using to make sure it is YOURS.  We have several students who are missing computers, and they would really appreciate you checking to make sure you have the right one. If you discover you have a computer that is not yours, please bring it to the front office or just give it to your teacher. We will help you find yours!

Safety Reminders

Now that we are well into the new school year, we want to remind you of some very important safety tips for before and after school.

  • If you walk or ride your bike to school, it is important that you cross the street safely at the intersection of Trilby and Ziegler with the help from our crossing guards. Students should only cross the street at designated crosswalks. Do not cross in the middle of the street without a designated crosswalk.
  • In the morning, if you get a ride to school, please wait until all cars are moved as far forward as possible in the traffic circle in front of the school before exiting your car. Please don’t exit your car on Trilby or Ziegler.
  • In the afternoon, if you are picked up, please wait for your ride to enter the traffic oval and until the car has come to a complete stop before getting into the vehicle.
  • Lastly, we have a couple more reminders for you, all bikes should be locked to a bike rack, please do not lock bikes to trees or leave them without being secured to a bike rack. For those of you who ride skateboards or longboards, they can be placed on the shelf in the music hallway near the cafeteria during the school day.
