Important Information:

  • CANS Around the Oval is over, and our school helped so many food-insecure people in our community. Thank you to everyone who donated! It is very much appreciated. The winning 6th grade class was Mr. Graham, the winning 7th grade class was Mr. Benson, and the winning 8th grade class was Mrs. Rakiecki. As a school, we raised $5,457 and 29,864 pounds equivalent, which is 13,509 meals for families with food insecurity. All donations are going directly to the food bank to help those in need. Thank you for your help with this event! 
  • October is Futures Month!  There are many different avenues after high school. Some go into the military to get training, some enroll in a two-year school for specific job skills, some go to a four-year university, and others go onto work before they decide if they need more school. Look at all your options as you explore!
  • There is NO SCHOOL for students Friday and Monday, enjoy your long weekend!
  • Today will be our Restart Friday! Regular and specialty ELO Teachers: please remind your students to restart their laptops today to refresh connections and process updates. And don’t forget to also restart your classroom spare laptop. Thank you for helping to keep our laptops in tip-top shape!

 

Clubs:

  • Dungeons and Dragons Club meets today from 3:15 to 4:20 in Mr. Costello’s room (416)
  • Kinard Student Wellness Team with Mr. Benson meets on Tuesday before school between 7:30-8 am in the cafeteria.
  • Yodeler’s Society meets Tuesday morning from 7:30 to 8:00 in the big gym. 
  • MathCounts meets Tuesday after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in the Media Center.
  • Student-led Comic Bookers meets Tuesday after school from 3:15 to 4:15 in Mr. Costello’s room (416)
  • GSA Club meets Tuesday after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in Mr. Rollings room (312).

 

Athletics:

  • Boys basketball camp for 7th and 8th graders continues today after school in the gym. Tryouts start on Tuesday of next week. 
  • Any fall athlete that has an athletic locker needs to check it out with one of the PE teachers as soon as possible.

 

Menu:

  • Today the lunch options are:

    • Cilantro Lime Rice
    • Fruit and Yogurt Box
    • Taco Salad
  • Breakfast Tuesday will be Mini Cinnamon Rolls
