Important Information:
- Hey Mustangs! Get excited because Talent Show auditions start next week! Auditions will take place after school on Monday, September 29th and Wednesday, October 1st in the choir room. Any interested performers will need to sign up for an audition slot at the Talent Show website at www.tinyurl.com/kinardtalent, then grab an audition form from the folder outside Room 311 (Mr. Graham’s room) and bring it to your audition. We look forward to seeing your incredible skills! If you have any questions about the Talent Show, be sure to see Mr. Graham this week.
- Thanks for supporting CANS Around The Oval! Tuesday will be our next collection day for CANS around the oval. Please bring all donations to your first period class on Tuesday. Donating helps out food-insecure families and the food bank a lot. If every student donated 3 dollars each day, that is almost 5,000 meals given to those in need. Thank you for supporting those in need!
- Pop and Frozen Fridays is here today! Stop by the Mustang Corral today after school to pick up yummy treats including LOTS of new flavors from Kilwin’s, Walrus, and Mary Mountain Cookies including Sea Salt and Caramel, S’Mores, Lemon Sorbetto, Cotton Candy, Blue Moon, and Chocolate and Mint with Edible Cookie Dough.
- Attention 8th Graders: Permission Slips are due to Student Services TODAY, please make sure you check your backpacks and lockers for your forms and bring them to Student Services right away.
- Today is Restart Friday! Regular and specialty ELO Teachers: please remind your students to restart their laptops today to refresh connections and process updates. And don’t forget to also restart your classroom spare laptop. Thank you for helping to keep our laptops in tip-top shape!

- Pixels and Pencils meets today from 3:15 to 4:15 in Ms. Houston’s art room (509)
- Animal Lovers Alliance meets on Monday after school from 3:15 to 4:15 in Ms. Eitsert’s Room (313)
- Baking Club meets on Monday after school from 3:15 to 4:20 in Room 300
- Fitness Club meets on Monday after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in the Fitness Room by the small gym.
- TSA (Technology Student Association) which normally meets on Monday mornings has been cancelled for the next two weeks and will return on Monday, October 13th. Please be working on your projects and email Mr. Lardner with questions.
- Calling all scientists! Do you love discovering how things work, solving cool challenges, and preparing for science competitions against other middle schools with your fellow Mustangs? Registration for Science Olympiad is now open! This club is for all interested 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Please stop by Ms. Blumberg’s classroom, Room 526 upstairs in the green pod to pick up a registration form, or if you have any questions!
Athletics:
- Girls Tennis won all 6 varsity lines against Timnath yesterday
- The Boys and Girls Tennis JV Tournament is today at 3:30 at Fort Collins High School. Players are being picked up at 2:30 and will not be in ELO.
- Our Cross Country team is participating in the Rattlesnake Rumble tomorrow at Spring Canyon Park. The boys race at 9:00 and the girls race at 9:30. Good luck runners!
- Girls Volleyball play against Wellington on Monday
