Hello my name is Alena Bardey and am so excited to be a part of the Kinard Mustang family! I was born in Ukraine, grew up in Indiana and have been living in Colorado for over 7 years now. I completed my student teaching in Valencia, Spain in the fall of 2023 and this is my first year being an art teacher. I had my own jewelry making business for the past 5 years where I made copper and crystal jewelry and vended at many different events all over Colorado. I was also a massage therapist since 2016 and had a good career but am really loving being an art teacher already and cannot wait to help inspire so many future generations of budding artists.
For my hobbies I really like doing basically anything outdoors such as hiking, camping, traveling, backpacking, snowboarding, climbing, biking, swimming, foraging, and longboarding. I also really love cooking, baking, art making, listening to music, hanging out with friends, going to concerts and festivals, homesteading, and spending time with family. I have a strong passion for art and teaching and am so happy that I will be able to help all the artists of Kinard grow in their art skills and bloom into their full artistic potentials.
