2026 NAAHM Announcement:
Hello Kinard Community! The month of April begins with our nation recognizing Arab American Heritage Month. The 2026 theme from the Arab America Foundation is “Many Voices, One Community.” The theme celebrates the different backgrounds, religions, and cultures of more than 3.7 million Arab Americans, while bringing people together and sharing their history. Look around the locker bays and the media center for posters that uplift and teach about the traditions, amazing architecture and significant contributions of Arab culture in the U.S. and around the world. Stop by the media center this month to check out the displays and some award-winning youth fiction novels written by Arab American authors. To get involved and have a voice with how our school recognizes many cultural and national observances, come to Student Social Justice on Wednesday ELOs in the media center or see Mrs. Grigg for more information.
Passover Announcement
This week, we also recognize that our community is celebrating the Jewish holiday, Passover, which started last night at sundown. This festival continues for 8 days through April 9th and is a time to celebrate family and a 3,000-year-old historical exodus to freedom. The main observances of this holiday center around a traditional home service called the seder, (SAY: ""say-durr") which includes a special meal among other traditions.

- Dungeons and Dragons Club meets today from 3:15 to 4:20 in Mr. Costello’s room 416
- FCA meets tomorrow from 7:30 to 8 am in Room 300
- Pixels and Pencils meets tomorrow from 3:15 to 4:15 in Mrs. Houston’s art room 509
Athletics
- Track and Softball have practice today after school.
- Boys Golf play today at Collindale, release golfers at 1:40, start time is 2:40 pm.
