Important Information:
- We are halfway through our Mustang Spirit Week and are loving seeing your spirit gear each day! You have 2 more days to participate. Tomorrow is Favorites Day, so wear something that represents a favorite of yours…perhaps your favorite sports team or band, or an activity or food that you love.
- Attention all students who have signed up for the Science Olympiad this year.
- There will be a meeting today in room 510, Mr. McGonagil’s room, during ELO to select competition teams and fill the holes in our team selections for the events. This meeting is vital to getting on the team you want and also making sure you are in the events you want, so please plan to attend. Also keep checking your emails for communication from your event coaches as to when your practices are. Practices should be starting this week with the first Science Night on Thursday, November 10th.
- ATTENTION STUDENTS WHO HAVE A “WRITING CONTEST” ALP: You are invited to the media center TODAY to receive support during ELO for your writing contest ALP. You will receive a GT pass if you would like to attend. Come see how to get started or receive feedback on your work, or just have time and place for your writing. For ANY students who do not have an ALP but are interested in entering a writing contest, please see Mrs. Grigg email in the GT Office, Rm 306. She is glad to help you learn about all the amazing writing contests that all Kinard students can enter!
- We have a new club at Kinard that starts this Thursday! Students in running club can enjoy running outside and supporting their physical wellness in a fun, safe and collaborative setting. All abilities and fitness levels are welcome. Running club meets after school, outside the gym on the north side of the building from 3:20-4:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Show up dressed to run and bring a water bottle. Our first meeting will be Thursday, November 3!
Clubs:
- Fitness club is also today after school until 4pm in the small Gym.
- STEM club is tomorrow after school from 3:15-4pm in Room 315 . Please see Mrs. Ashe if you have any questions.
Athletics:
- Our boys basketball teams have scrimmages today! Our varsity and JV teams will play Preston here and will be released from class at 2:30. Our C1 and C2 teams will be playing at Preston and will be released from class at 1:55.
