Important Information:

  • Welcome back!  We are excited to kick off the second semester with you, Mustangs.  Did any of you make New Year’s resolutions?  This is a time of year to reflect and set goals for how you would like your new year to go.  What goals do you have for yourself at school?  How are you contributing positively to our Kinard culture?

Challenge:  Demonstrate positivity and a great attitude to kick off our second semester.  Show that you are contribution to a healthy school culture by helping to ensure you and all of your classmates are happy, healthy and ready to learn.

  • Hey students, listen up for a few reminders about lunch! As long as it isn’t actively snowing or raining, we will still be allowing you the choice to eat outside if you prefer. On days where it is too snowy to sit on the grass, the outside lunch supervisor will show you where you can sit to eat on the concrete or in the courtyard. Don’t forget to bring your jacket and any other cold weather gear with you to lunch. You will not be permitted to go back to your locker or a classroom to get anything once lunch has started. If there is a lot of snow on the grass, students will need to follow instructions to stay on concrete only and to leave the snow on the ground please. If you choose to stay inside for all of lunch, please remember to put your mask back on as soon as you’ve finished eating. Inside, you need to stay seated at a lettered seat for all of lunch time.

  • This week is your chance to enter to win FUN prizes for every hour that you read over the winter break.  That’s right!  Come by the Media Center and fill out one entry per hour you read and YOU could win!  The last day for entries is this Friday, January 7th.  Winners will be announced on Monday, January 10th.  Good luck!
