Nicole Darrow is a Social Studies teacher at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School. She has been a Mustang for 19 years, but has been an educator for 23 years. Before coming to Kinard, Nicole’s professional experience started at Lincoln Middle School here in Fort Collins.
Nicole received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts with concentrations in History and Secondary Education from Colorado State University. Nicole received a Master’s Degree in Literacy from the University of Northern Colorado.
Outside of school, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to Jamis Darrow. Together they have two wonderful daughters, Emma and Sara. The Darrow's have a new addition to their family, Dodger the dog, who is a delight to play and cuddle with.
When Nicole is not teaching, she and her family like to hike, camp, swim, play video games, travel, read, socialize, and support the CSU Rams and Denver Broncos.
Nicole chose to be a teacher because of her love of kids. She chose History because of the cyclical patterns, stories, and lessons that can be learned. Nicole hopes to inspire students to be lifelong learners.
