Anne Flemming is the English Language Development (ELD) teacher at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School. The 2024-2025 school year will be her seventh as a Mustang, but she has been an educator for 20 years. Before coming to Kinard, Anne was a 4th grade teacher and the ELD/Literacy coach at Laurel Elementary in the Poudre School District. Anne is also the ELD teacher at Fossil Ridge High School.
Anne received her B.A. in Spanish and Elementary Education from Augustana College, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After graduating, she married her high school sweetheart and began teaching Spanish in Douglas County School District at Sierra Middle School in Parker, CO. Anne received her M.A. in Linguistically Diverse Education from the University of Colorado at Denver. After eight years of teaching Spanish, she taught ELD for three years at Sierra. After 11 years of teaching, her family moved to Fort Collins.
Outside of school, Anne enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Rob, and two sons, Jackson (15) and Oliver (9). Jackson is in 9th grade at Fossil Ridge High School, and Oliver is in 4th grade at Zach Elementary. The Flemming family enjoys hiking, biking, and skiing together. Anne enjoys spending time with her family, golfing, skiing, biking, and putting together jigsaw puzzles when she is not teaching.
