Important Information:

  • National Coffee with a Cop Day and National Walk to School Day!

 

  • October is Futures Month. Did you notice today how many students and staff are wearing college shirts?  If there is a school you are not familiar with, don’t be afraid to ask where it is located or what is their school mascot. Every Wednesday is College Gear Day – wear your favorite gear every week!! 

 

  • National Junior Honors Society it's time to meet! We will be meeting on Monday October 9th in the Media Center, please come in the front doors of the school and be ready by 7:20 a.m. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Darrow or Mrs. Hergenreder. This is for current NJHS members only. We will open up applications for new members in January.

 

  • Science Olympiad is hosting its first Thursday Night Science Night tomorrow Thursday, 10/05 from 6-8 p.m. We Invite you to join us if you are a student or parent interested in meeting your Event Coach, turn in your registration form, ask questions and an opportunity to meet others in the club. We will provide light snacks. The meeting is open house style, however if you choose to attend at the end of our gathering, we may be dispersed into smaller groups getting to know our choice of event and coach. You can find us in the Media center beginning at 6:00 p.m., later on in the evening some of us may be in  Room 510. We hope to see you there!

 

  • Laptop Microphone and Camera, Are you having trouble with the microphone on your laptop?  Does your laptop camera appear locked?   You may have accidentally pressed a function key and turned the microphone or camera off.  Try pressing F4 to turn on the microphone and F8 to unlock the camera.  Restarting your laptop can also help.   If these steps don't work,  come to see Mrs. Louk in the media center for assistance. 

 





 

Clubs:

  • Fitness Club is today from 3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Weight Room.
  • Mustang Kickers Club is tomorrow from 3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in Room 416.

 

Athletics:

  • A big congratulations to our girls tennis team. Yesterday all 6 teams made it to the finals. The girls finished as district champions for the second year in a row. Wow, amazing job Girls Tennis!
  • Good luck to our boys tennis team, they are competing at the district championship all day today!
  • Our football team lost a tough game to Timnath last night.
  • Our volleyball teams will play their last regular season match today against Wellington. Our Varsity and JV play here at Kinard and should be released at 2:30. Our C1 and C2 teams should be released at 1:15 PM

  • Today the lunch options are:
    • Asian Bar Teriyaki Chicken
    • Turkey or Ham & Cheese Sandwich
    • Supreme Pizza
  • Served for breakfast tomorrow are mini pancakes
